November

November has been fun, as is every month of course! I just love watching Xavier learn and grow and advance.

One day early this month we visited the local children's museum with some friends. Xavier learned how to climb the ladders on the playground outside so he could slide down the slides. He did really well but I could tell when he was getting tired because he would start standing on the first rung and just scream. haha

And screaming is an ongoing thing lately. If he's frustrated he will just scream. We've been working on trying to get him to 'use his words' but it's still a work in process.

We attended a fundraiser for Alzheimer's and they had a bounce house. Xavier LOVED it. The whole time he just wanted to bounce. A week or so later we visited a trampoline gym. Bounce has been a HUGE word in our house lately. He just loves it.

The whole drive to Knoxville to go to the trampoline gym he was playing with some toy cars saying "On your mark" and then I had to respond with "Get set. Go!" He continues to do mini races with his toy cars. Every now and then he'll say "Win!"

He also has been playing tag with his cars lately. "Tag! It!" has been a common sound in our house.

The sweetest thing ever is him saying "PLEASE!" Lately if we say "no" to something then he'll get just the sweetest melt your heart voice. It's so hard to continue to tell him no.

We've also been working on putting his toys away at the end of the day before bed. I'm actually quite surprised how easily he agrees.

Thanksgiving was wonderful. We got to see everyone except for Caleb. Which I was sad about, but it was fun to see Xavier and Sam together. Christmas will be fun as they both understand opening presents now.

Imaginative play is fun. He likes to pretend to be a "froggie" or a "puppy."

On our way to the Alzheimer's walk he bent over rather than squatting to play with a car on the sidewalk on the way to the walk. This is how his skinned up face looked later. It healed up well though. Now there's just a little pink where there's new skin.

Xavier wearing Rob's official judge shirt.

At the Children's Museum he found some toy cars. Of course he lined them all up and played with them excessively despite all the other things he could play with.

Legos at the Children's museum.

More careful arranging and rearranging of cars at the Children's Museum.

Silly boy taking a bubble bath.

When we went to Knoxville we went to a cafe that had food that I could eat including gluten free ice cream cones. Xavier approved as well.

We went out to dinner that day with my parents and Xavier spent the whole time arranging and rearranging his crayons around his car.
That's another thing. He LOVES going to restaurants with crayons. Mostly because he likes to do this.

I don't know why. I just love taking pictures of him snuggling and sleeping. I don't even remember what was going on here.

Selfie fun.

He wanted pictures.

And had to show his car in the picture.

Silly faces selfies.

We both may look different a year apart, but we've always been buddies and like taking pictures together.

Rob had surgery on his toe and as part of the healing process he had to do regular soaks. Xavier liked to soak his foot with Rob.

Rob was in New Jersey judging a tournament and part of the time he was on camera. We turned on the coverage for a few minutes so Xavier could see Daddy on TV.

The time has arrived! I have a helper with the groceries! Xavier LOVES helping! I always make sure there's one bag that is light enough for him to carry. He loves it!!

Couches are better without cushions apparently.

A friend of mine's son was getting older and had grown out of playing with his Cars toys. She mailed me his old things and Xavier LOVED it. There's also a video of him opening the box on my Youtube channel.

Here he is playing with his new toys. They are a staple in our house. He ALWAYS has to have them!

I had an interview on 11/20 and this is what I wore (my hair was done. This was my "does this look good" picture I was sending out on the 19th)

Rob sent me this picture while I was out of town on Thursday the 20th.

All the new Cars toys means we have several incarnations of Lightning McQueen.

Eating his favorite food, clear soup at the sushi restaurant.

Xavier wanted a picture taken. Instead of saying "Cheese" he said "Cars! Mack!"

Still working through Halloween candy. Found a ring pop. He very much enjoyed it.

"See! Sucker. Ring!"

Cousins watching Cars on Thanksgiving.

The boys helping Grandpa Tony open his birthday presents.

So I was distracted working on some Jamberry work stuff and left Xavier's halloween candy down. He helped himself to two suckers. Strawberry and Rootbeer. yum.
