November

November has been fun, as is every month of course! I just love watching Xavier learn and grow and advance.

October

In an attempt to get back to a monthly post instead of month and a half, this is to wrap up October.

September and October apparently

Same old song and dance. It gets harder and harder to actually make time to post. Day to day life is just that. Day to day. I try to remember to make note of cute things that Xavier does because I know all too soon the little things will be forgotten.

This post was supposed to be just September, and then before I realized it, it's already halfway through October.

2 years old!! (All about August)

Well, Xavier is officially two years old. I can't believe it's already been two years and I also am amazed at how much he grows and learns and changes day to day.

23 months (almost 2!!)

I have been SUPER busy and haven't had a chance to write this month's post. And now it's past his birthday so he's 24 months or TWO!!! I will start a new post from birthday on and will aim to get it in at the end of this month. I am so sorry for the delay on this post!

There's lots of pictures though!!

22 months

I can't believe the growth and change that has occurred this month. I wish I could really show everything, but I have taken a lot of pictures.

21 months

I've been trying to keep notes this month so it's not just a "uhhh... we are another month older" post.

20 months

Lately I've realized that Xavier is closer to 2 than 1 1/2 so I've started saying he's "almost 2." I can't believe he's so "old" already!!

There hasn't really been any major things happen this month. Continuing to expand his vocabulary and communication. Still eating better and better. I love watching his mind work.

This has been a full month. I'm going to try to go over everything as best I can.

18 months

Best intentions. I promise every week I think about the blog, I plan on trying to write, but work really doesn't give me an opportunity and neither does the subject of the blog when I get home! This may end up being a monthly blog instead of weekly. I do have all the pictures and am trying to make notes of the sweet and fun things that's going on. I wish I had more time to write. I know I miss a lot of great things that happen.

I love the look of joy on my son's face when he accomplishes something. One night first he scored a cookie from daddy and then later he brought me his phone. I obliged with an imaginary conversation on said phone. I tried to give it back but he instead indicated I should keep talking. He then picked up MY phone and we "talked on the phone" to each other.

I don't know if I have mentioned it before or not, but Xavier LOVES his new daycare. On days he doesn't go he will say all day long "go cool" (go to school)  Rob and I are hoping that we get raises this year that are sufficient we would be able to add a day or two just because he loves it so much. Not that I want to be away from him at all, but he loves going!

Xavier was super cute while watching a movie about a week ago. We were watching the Disney fox Robin Hood and the scene where Maid Marian kisses the little boy bunny Xavier turned to me and kissed me. <3

No longer big sloppy open mouth kisses. Now his kisses are like a smile he presses against you. He's growing up!

He's learning more and more words too. He loves drinking Rob's sweet tea and he says "tea" now. And he also says "teeth" when I ask him if he's ready to go brush his teeth. That was a new one just last night!

He LOVES being outside. The weather's been getting nicer so I'm hoping that we can spend more time outside soon.

I'm not sure what else to talk about really so I'll just move on to the pictures. They may inspire more discussion.

What's sweeter than a passed out baby?

I don't know how this picture was possible! It looks like he fell asleep sitting up! I wish I remembered the details.

passed out baby.

wow... It has been a long time... So, went to get an evaluation from a dentist in my parent's town about his broken teeth. He will be having oral surgery on 3/13. But anyway, while we were staying at the parents' Cousin Sammy and Uncle BJ were in town. So we got to have some interaction from the boys.

Xavier loves this hoodie. I had put it in the hamper to be washed and he pulled it right back out and snuggled it.

So, the cats had been out of water (I know, I'm a terrible pet mom. But it's only because I focus so much on the human baby) and when I gave them water, Cloud splashed a lot of it out. It made a puddle on the flor. I hadn't gotten around to cleaning it up as I was doing something else in the kitchen. I heard a slurping noise so I went around the corner and saw this. Xavier was slurping the water off the floor.

Have diaper, ready to go. Go where? Cool of course.

The bathroom is fun. It echos when he yells loudly.
Exploring his world. A q-tip fits in the hole from wherea handle used to be.

Silly boy wearing Daddy's t-shirt.
Fell asleep wearing it and everything.

More exploring what fits where. Green crayons fit in the nose. (I didn't let him put it too far)

Periodically have to get a cuddle picture.

More sleep. He's so peaceful when he's sleeping.

LOL this was hilarious. He picked up the stick that's used to "lock" the sliding glass door and just started swinging it around. He would pound it on the ground and it just reminded Rob and me of Gandalf saying "You SHALL NOT PASS!"

And then he sits down on the chair and picks his nose. LOL

So he climbed up on the table to look outside all by himself. It was just too cute not to photograph.
Big boy eating on the couch. I think it was cheese.

Nothing in particular. Just one of those moments where I look up and just was in awe of what a beautiful little person he is.

Eating something and being Mommy's Little Monkey.

Getting a drink like a big boy!

Eating bagels with Daddy.

Bagel face.

Reading a new book from Grandma Anna.

This kid LOVES strawberries. The night that I took these pictures he took me by the hand, put my hand on the handle of the fridge, pulled open the drawer that the strawberries were in and pointed to the strawberries. I just couldn't help it but cut him up some berries. He then ate the whole bowl!
Trying one of Mommy's experiments. Kale chips. He's not a huge fan. He spits them out mostly.

Valentine's love.

The deliciousness from Valentine's Day. Meal cooked specially by Daddy, Snuggles with Mommy and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert!
Another one of those "He's getting so big" moments. He'd been quiet for a little while so I peeked around the corner of the couch and there he was. Just amusing himself on the floor.

Another case of "How can I deny him." Same as with the strawberries but he pointed to blueberries this time even with Strawberries in the drawer! He had never taken to blueberries before so I didn't know how he'd do. But he ate a bunch before it became more fun to just smash them.

First time working on a puzzle. He got several for Christmas but I never got them out. Just didn't want to mess with them. But he was showing interest so I got them out. He did OK but also got very frustrated.

Hanging out with Daddy I think this was a week ago today. LOVES being outside. Just on top of the world.

Hanging out at Daddy's Judge Class.

Being a goofball. Enjoying his first Capri Sun.

And has to be the center of attention. With one of his favorite non-parental people.

A week ago today was the first really nice day so I took Xavier to the park after I got off work when I picked him up from the Judge Class. He had a GREAT time.

Learning how to slide.

Swinging

LOVED the slides. Especially the ones he could climb himself.

This was a nice little note from daycare. I love the newsletters and monthly reports.

Remember how he loved the slides at the park? He made his own with the empty cat scratcher frame!

He was just playing and lounging in the basket while I folded laundry.

Last night we went to dinner with the guys. Xavier had a blast.

And morning texts from Daddy. Xavier climbed on top of the headboard to get at Daddy's drink.

And then felt like he was king of the world.
